Double Bloody Mary Geum (Geum 'Double Bloody Mary') is a striking, clump-forming perennial producing fully double, richly saturated bright scarlet-red flowers atop slender, wiry stems that dance gracefully above a neat mound of deeply lobed, textured green foliage. The intense, jewel-toned red of the fully double blooms creates an electrifying focal point in mixed perennial borders, cottage gardens, and container arrangements, delivering weeks of bold, saturated color during the cool-season peak bloom period from late spring through early summer.

Grown from certified organic heritage stock, each plant arrives with a Professional Grade root system — dense, fibrous, and fully established for strong first-year performance. Double Bloody Mary thrives in full sun to partial shade with consistent moisture and well-drained soil, performing most vigorously during the cooler temperatures of spring and fall. Its compact, tidy clumping habit makes it an excellent front-of-border perennial and a superb companion plant for blue salvias, soft lavenders, and silver-foliage ornamentals where the bold scarlet blooms create maximum color contrast and visual drama throughout the season.

  • Richly Double Scarlet-Red Blooms — Fully double, intensely saturated bright scarlet-red flowers create a jewel-toned focal point in mixed borders, cottage gardens, and container arrangements throughout the cool-season peak bloom period.
  • Long-Lived Reliable Perennial — Returns reliably year after year with increasing vigor and bloom production, delivering outstanding long-term value and consistent seasonal color in the organic perennial garden.
  • Compact Front-of-Border Habit — Neat, tidy clumping form grows to a manageable size ideal for front-of-border placements, rock gardens, mixed perennial beds, and container arrangements of all sizes.
  • Pollinator Friendly — Nectar-rich scarlet blooms attract bumblebees, native bees, and beneficial insects during the critical spring foraging season when early-season pollinators are most active and food sources are scarce.
  • Outstanding Cut Flower — Long, wiry stems and vibrant double blooms make Double Bloody Mary an exceptional fresh-cut flower for bringing bold, jewel-toned color from the garden directly into indoor arrangements.

These 4" healthy live plants thrive in full sun to partial shade with consistent moisture and excellent drainage — avoid waterlogged conditions and amend heavy clay soils with organic matter before planting. Hardy in USDA zones 4–9, growing 12–18" tall with a spread of 12–18". Blooms late spring to early summer (May–June); deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage rebloom and maintain a tidy, attractive appearance throughout the season.
