Our Story
A Planted Places Journey

Hi, I'm Christy!
I’m on a mission to help people live their healthiest life possible. The bottom line is this: growing food in living soil at home is better for you than buying produce at the grocery store—and I’m here to show just how easy and rewarding it can be.
A couple of years ago I had my own health issues which forced me to take a closer look at what I was putting into my body. I learned that the faster way to a healthier gut was to eat more leafy greens. But not all leafy greens were created equal.

I figured the best way to get the most nutrition from my food was to grow it myself. That was my aha moment—and voilà, the Planted Wall was born.
From the very beginning, our goal was to create a gardening system that would make it easy for anyone—no matter their space, experience, or schedule—to grow their own food at home and experience the full nutritional power of freshly harvested greens.
The Planted Wall is a simple, soil-based system that gives you access to vibrant, living produce right outside your door. There are countless reasons to start growing your own food, but nothing matters more than the health of you and your family.
How We Make a Difference
Sylvia
"My garden wall is simply fantastic! It’s easy to care for and I love being able to go pick fresh greens and add to the meal I am making. Plus it looks beautiful and adds a stunning visual to my back patio."
Kris
"It gets super hot during the summer and very cold during the winter, so it’s a challenge to adjust and keep my plants happy year-round. I’ve learned a lot from Planted Places’ informative content and cooking classes."
Pamela
"I cannot keep up with an outdoor raised bed, it just doesn't fit my busy lifestyle. This is such a well-researched and informed approach to micro-gardening even in the most urban and garden-unfriendly venues."
Tanja
"The feeling of accomplishment, 'Hey I can do this!' Bonus of feeding my family healthy food grown in living soil rich in nutrients and minerals. I've learned the value and importance of that through Planted Places."
