Gaura lindheimeri 'Siskiyou Pink' (Gaura lindheimeri 'Siskiyou Pink', syn. Oenothera lindheimeri 'Siskiyou Pink') is the most richly and warmly colored of the garden gaura cultivars — a vivacious, freely flowering perennial whose deep rose-pink to warm magenta-flushed blooms bring a confident, emphatic color presence to the airy, floating grace that defines this irreplaceable perennial genus. Where 'Rosy Jane' enchants with the delicate romantic specificity of its picotee edge, and 'Steffi White' unifies with luminous, universal neutrality, 'Siskiyou Pink' makes a bolder, more emphatic color declaration — its deep, warm rose-pink flowers appearing in continuous, generous abundance on the characteristic slender, wiry stems that sway with the same meditative, butterfly-like elegance shared by all gaura varieties. The result is a plant that combines gaura's trademark lightness of touch with a color depth and warmth that gives it genuine, confident focal-point presence throughout the summer and fall border.

This professional-grade 4" plant arrives with a healthy, well-established root system cultivated through professional horticultural practices — ready to establish and grow quickly into its characteristic freely branching, upright form. 'Siskiyou Pink' thrives in full sun with excellent drainage and lean to average soil — performing magnificently in mixed perennial borders, cottage gardens, Mediterranean-style landscapes, coastal plantings, and large sunny containers where its deep, warm rose-pink blooms and graceful, airy stems create a vivid, season-long color statement with minimal supplemental resources and effortless self-sufficiency.

  • Deep, Warm Rose-Pink Blooms of Confident Presence: Richly saturated deep rose-pink to warm magenta-flushed butterfly-like flowers bring confident, emphatic color warmth to the airy, floating grace of the gaura genus — the most boldly and warmly colored gaura cultivar available, with genuine focal-point presence that distinguishes it clearly from both 'Rosy Jane' and 'Steffi White'.
  • Extraordinarily Long Bloom Season: Flowers continuously and abundantly from late spring through the first frost — the exceptional seasonal generosity shared by all gaura cultivars, here delivered in a warm, deeply saturated rose-pink that fills the border with confident color and graceful movement across the full length of the warm season.
  • Unique Airy, Floating Garden Presence: Slender, wiry stems bearing deep rose-pink blooms sway with effortless, meditative grace in every passing breeze — bringing the uniquely light, kinetic, and irreplaceable textural quality of Gaura to the border in its warmest, most confidently colored expression.
  • Exceptional Drought & Heat Tolerance: Once established, 'Siskiyou Pink' thrives in hot, dry, sunny conditions with minimal supplemental irrigation — a supremely adapted, self-sufficient warm-season performer for water-wise, xeriscape, coastal, and Mediterranean-style garden designs where sustained flowering through heat and drought is a genuine landscape priority.
  • Butterfly & Hummingbird Magnet: The continuous, abundant deep rose-pink blooms attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds reliably throughout the exceptionally long bloom season — adding vibrant, sustained wildlife energy to mixed borders and sunny garden spaces from late spring through the first fall frost.

These 4" healthy live plants thrive in full sun (6+ hours daily) with well-drained, average to lean soil; avoid heavy clay and consistently wet conditions. Water moderately during establishment, then reduce to low supplemental irrigation. USDA Hardiness Zones 5–9; mature height: 24–36 inches in bloom; spread: 18–24 inches. Bloom time: late spring through first frost. Cut back by one-third in midsummer if plants become leggy to encourage fresh, compact growth and renewed prolific deep-pink flowering through fall.
