These 4" healthy live plants thrive in part shade to full shade; foliage is most lush and vigorous in bright indirect light or dappled shade, though the plant tolerates deep shade reliably. Performs in part sun with consistent moisture. Plant in well-draining soil of average to low fertility. Water consistently during the first season to establish, then reduce to low, infrequent irrigation. Best suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 5–10. Mature height: 12–18 inches; spread: 12–18 inches. Blooms late summer to early fall. Cut back all foliage to the ground in late winter before new growth emerges to refresh the clump and remove any winter-tattered leaves. Divide established clumps every 3–4 years in spring to maintain vigor.
