Compact Orange Fire Gem Lantana (Lantana camara Gem 'Compact Orange Fire') is a bold, fiery ornamental shrub from the celebrated Gem series, producing vibrant clusters of orange and yellow bicolor blooms that glow with intense, warm heat-toned color from late spring through the first hard frost. The Gem series is specifically bred for a superior compact, well-branched habit and earlier, heavier bloom production compared to standard lantana varieties — delivering a more refined, garden-ready plant that performs with outstanding consistency and vigor through the most demanding summer heat and humidity conditions.

Grown from our premium organic heritage program, each plant ships with a Professional Grade root system — dense, well-branched, and ready for vigorous establishment. Compact Orange Fire thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and is exceptionally versatile across containers, hanging baskets, mixed border plantings, butterfly gardens, and landscape beds. Its refined compact habit stays tidy without excessive spreading, making it ideal for smaller garden spaces, front-of-border placements, and container arrangements where bold warm-tone color and manageable scale are equally important throughout the season.

    • Bold Orange & Yellow Bicolor Clusters — Vibrant orange and yellow flower clusters deliver fiery, warm-tone intensity that electrifies containers, borders, and butterfly gardens with non-stop heat-toned color all season long.
    • Superior Gem Series Compact Habit — Gem series genetics produce a more refined, compact, and well-branched plant with earlier flowering and heavier bloom production than standard lantana for smaller spaces and containers.
    • Butterfly & Hummingbird Powerhouse — Nectar-rich orange and yellow flower clusters are exceptional attractors for monarch butterflies, swallowtails, hummingbirds, and native bees throughout the long bloom season.
    • Outstanding Heat & Drought Tolerance — Thrives through peak summer heat, humidity, and drought conditions, maintaining vigorous growth and prolific bloom production when other ornamentals decline or stall.
    • Versatile Container & Border Performer — Compact, well-mannered habit excels in containers, hanging baskets, mixed border front placements, butterfly gardens, and landscape beds without excessive spreading or overpowering companion plants.

These 4" healthy live plants thrive in full sun (minimum 6–8 hours daily) with well-drained soil — water regularly until established, then reduce frequency as drought tolerance develops. Compact Orange Fire Gem is a tender perennial shrub hardy in USDA zones 9–11 and grown as a heat-season annual in cooler climates; plant after last frost for season-long fiery orange color from late spring through fall frost. Space 18–24" apart for landscape use and 12–18" for container plantings.
