Strawberry Blonde Calendula (Calendula officinalis 'Strawberry Blonde') is a breathtaking organic annual that redefines the classic pot marigold with a sophisticated palette of soft apricot, peachy cream, and warm strawberry-blush petals that deepen in cool weather and fade gracefully as blooms mature. Its fully double, dahlia-like flowers create a romantic, painterly effect that elevates any garden bed, cutting garden, or container arrangement.

Grown from professional-grade organic seed stock, Strawberry Blonde Calendula arrives with a healthy, well-established root system ready for immediate planting and rapid flower production. Beyond its undeniable beauty, this heirloom-style variety is also a beloved edible and medicinal flower — petals are traditionally used to garnish salads, infuse oils, and brew skin-soothing teas. It thrives in cool-season conditions, making it perfect for spring and fall gardens.

  • Romantic Multi-Tone Blooms: Fully double flowers in a stunning blend of apricot, peachy cream, and strawberry blush provide a soft, painterly color show that deepens and intensifies in cooler temperatures, extending visual interest across the season.
  • Edible & Medicinal Petals: A time-honored edible and herbal flower — petals add color and mild flavor to salads, are used to infuse oils for skin care, and have long been valued in traditional herbal medicine for their soothing, anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Cool-Season Champion: Thrives in the mild temperatures of spring and fall, tolerating light frosts that would devastate warm-season annuals, making it one of the most reliable early-season and late-season flowering plants available.
  • Prolific Cut Flower Producer: Abundant, long-stemmed blooms make Strawberry Blonde Calendula an excellent addition to cutting gardens, with flowers that hold well in arrangements and actually encourage more blooms when harvested regularly.
  • Professional Grade Organic Heritage: Grown using certified organic practices, this plant supports a healthy garden ecosystem and arrives with a vigorous root system ready for seamless transplanting and fast establishment.

This 4" healthy live plant thrives in full sun to light shade with moderate, consistent moisture and excellent drainage. As a cool-season annual, Strawberry Blonde Calendula performs best in spring and fall when temperatures range from 45–65°F, and may slow or go dormant during the peak heat of summer. It tolerates light frosts, making it an excellent choice for extending the gardening season. Days to first bloom from transplant: approximately 4–6 weeks. For the longest season of bloom, plant in early spring after the last hard freeze or in late summer for fall color. Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage continued production.
