Collection: Hosta Plants for Sale

Hosta plants for sale, shipped as live, established plants ready to go in the ground or a container.

Hostas are the go-to perennial for shady spots — tough, reliable, and stunning in the right conditions. They return year after year with bold, architectural foliage in a range of sizes from compact minis to large specimen plants, and in colors from deep green to blue-green, gold, and variegated. Most varieties thrive in partial to full shade and are largely low-maintenance once established. A staple of woodland gardens, shaded borders, and container plantings.

FAQs

What hosta varieties do you carry?

We carry a selection of hosta varieties including blue-green, gold, green, and variegated types — ranging from compact minis to larger specimen plants. Browse the full collection above to see what's currently in stock, as availability rotates with the growing season.

How much shade do hostas need?

Hostas prefer partial to full shade. Most varieties do best with 2–4 hours of morning sun and shade through the afternoon. Deep shade is tolerated but can reduce the vibrancy of variegated and gold foliage. Avoid hot afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves.

Are hostas perennial?

Yes. Hostas are cold-hardy perennials that die back to the ground in winter and return reliably each spring. They're long-lived plants that get more impressive every year as the clumps fill out — one of the most dependable perennials for shade gardens.

What size do hostas grow to?

Hosta size varies significantly by variety. Compact mini varieties stay under 6 inches, while large specimen hostas can grow 3–4 feet across. Our plants ship in 4" pots as live, established plants — they'll size up considerably over the first few seasons in the ground.

What if my hosta plant arrives damaged?

We stand behind every plant we ship. If your hosta arrives damaged, send us a photo within a few days of delivery and we'll arrange a free replacement.
