About this Plant

Wild Bergamot, also known as Beebalm, is a fragrant native perennial herb valued for its aromatic, mint-scented foliage and showy whorls of tubular flowers in lavender, pink, or white. Blooming from spring through fall, it brings long-lasting color and movement to the garden.

This resilient plant tolerates deer, drought, clay soil, dry conditions, and black walnut, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance and native plant gardens. It is highly attractive to butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds, and the flowers are well suited for cut arrangements.

Plants mature to 2–5 feet tall with a 2–3 foot spread and thrive in full sun to part shade with moderate to low water once established. The leaves have a history of traditional medicinal and tea use.

This 4" potted Wild Bergamot is ideal for pollinator gardens, borders, meadows, and aromatic herb plantings.
