Native to the prairies and meadows of Louisiana and Texas, this elegant wildflower brings natural, effortless beauty to the garden with a long bloom season that stretches from late spring through fall. The narrow, lance-shaped foliage often develops attractive reddish-bronze tints in sun or cool weather, adding a subtle seasonal color change to its many ornamental qualities.

These 4" healthy live plants thrive in full sun with well-drained to dry soil. Water regularly until established, then reduce to occasional deep watering. Hardy in USDA Zones 5–9; mature height 3–4 feet with a spread of 2–3 feet. Blooms late spring through fall (May–October). Cut back by one-third in midsummer if plants become floppy to encourage a fresh flush of compact growth and continued blooming. Excellent for mixed borders, meadow gardens, and naturalistic plantings.
