About this Plant

Pink Lace Dahlia (Dahlia variabilis Cherie 'Pink Lace', syn. D. hortensis Cherie 'Pink Lace') is an exquisitely beautiful, compact dahlia producing an abundance of fully double blooms in a stunning soft pink and white bicolor combination — layers of delicately ruffled petals that interweave pink and white in a lace-like floral display of remarkable elegance and refinement. Part of the acclaimed Cherie Series, 'Pink Lace' is specifically selected for outstanding garden performance, combining a compact, well-branched habit with prolific, continuous bloom production from early summer through fall. The luminous, two-toned pink and white flowers are produced on sturdy, upright stems that hold the blooms beautifully above lush, dark green foliage, creating a sophisticated floral display that is as stunning in a cut flower arrangement as it is in the garden.

These Professional Grade 4" plants are grown to the highest nursery standards, delivering well-rooted transplants that establish quickly and bloom prolifically throughout the warm growing season. Pink Lace Dahlia thrives in full sun with rich, well-drained soil and consistently moist conditions, performing beautifully in mixed borders, cottage garden plantings, cutting gardens, and patio containers where its delicate bicolor beauty can be fully appreciated.

  • Exquisite Pink & White Bicolor Double Blooms: Fully double, ruffled flowers in a stunning soft pink and white bicolor combination create an endlessly elegant and refined floral display from early summer through fall.
  • Prolific Cutting Garden Dahlia: Long, sturdy stems and fully double, long-lasting blooms make Pink Lace an outstanding cutting garden dahlia — one of the finest for fresh bouquets and floral arrangements throughout the summer season.
  • Compact, Well-Branched Garden Habit: Naturally compact and well-branched form produces an abundance of blooms without the staking requirements of larger dahlia varieties — ideal for mixed borders and patio containers.
  • Continuous Bloom from Summer to Frost: Exceptionally free-flowering from early summer through the first hard frost, providing months of refined bicolor color and abundant cut flower production throughout the growing season.
  • Pollinator Friendly: Open-centered double blooms attract bees and beneficial insects throughout the generous bloom season, adding ecological value to ornamental summer garden plantings.

These 4" healthy live plants thrive in full sun with rich, consistently moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly throughout the growing season — do not allow to dry out completely. Dahlias are frost-sensitive — plant after all danger of frost has passed and soil has warmed. Blooms early summer through the first hard frost. Deadhead spent blooms regularly to encourage continuous new flower production. Lift and store tubers after the first frost in cold climates (Zones 3–7) or leave in the ground in frost-free climates (Zones 8–11).
