FAQs

What cucumber varieties do you carry?

We carry slicing cucumbers for fresh eating, pickling varieties, and specialty types. Browse the full selection above to see what’s currently in stock — availability varies with the growing season.

Do cucumber plants arrive ready to plant?

Yes. Your cucumber plants ship as live, established transplants ready to go in the ground or a raised bed. Plant in full sun, water in well, and give them something to climb — cucumbers establish and take off quickly once they’re in the ground.

Do cucumbers need a trellis?

Trellising is strongly recommended. Cucumbers are vining plants that grow best vertically — a trellis, fence, or cage keeps fruit off the ground (preventing rot and pests), improves air circulation, and makes harvesting easier. Bush varieties are more compact and can grow without support.

How much sun do cucumber plants need?

Cucumbers need full sun — at least 6–8 hours of direct sun per day. They’re warm-season crops that thrive in heat. Consistent moisture is also critical; cucumbers have high water needs, especially during fruit development. Irregular watering can cause bitter fruit.

What if my cucumber plant arrives damaged?

We stand behind every plant we ship. If your cucumber arrives damaged, send us a photo within a few days of delivery and we’ll arrange a free replacement.
