Ingredients:

• 4 cups water
• 1 cup fresh basil leaves plus additional for garnish
• 2 nectarines
• ¼ to ½ cup honey, or to taste
• 1 cup fresh lemon juice
• 1 cup of ice

Directions:

1. In a small saucepan, stir together 2 cups of water, the 1 cup of basil, and one of the nectarines, chopped coarsely. 
2. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring, and simmer for 5 minutes. 
3. Turn off the heat and add the honey. Let the mixture cool and strain it through a fine sieve set over a pitcher, pressing hard on the solids. Discard the cooked nectarine and basil.
4. Stir in the remaining 2 cups of water or 1 cup water and 1 cup ice to help the mixture cool quickly. Add the remaining nectarine, sliced thin, and lemon juice and stir..
